2 ACTIVE BOXES - FRONT & BACK AS
STANDARD

In my mind the most important part of an alarm system is the outside box. This
acts as the biggest visual deterrant to any burgular, especially at the rear of
your property, which is the most vulnerable area. Moat alarm systems are
fitted with active boxes at the front AND rear of your property as standard,
and both comprise of lights showing that the alarm is actually live. This is
unique to Moat Alarms and you will find other companies will fit a dummy box at
the rear, unless you specifically ask, and pay extra for the option

Next, we have a small keypad
This is the control panel for arming and disarming the system. This would
usually be sited in the hallway, for easy reach on exit or entry through the
front door. The small attractive design will compliment any decor. This is
linked to the main control box, which would usually be sited out of the way
upstairs in a fitted wardrobe, airing cupboard, or even in the loft, depending
on the situation

Keeping an eye on your property, are the
PIRS (passive infared sensors)
These are sited high up in the corner of a room. With an angle of vision of 90
degrees, a distance of 45 feet (15 metres) and a 3 tier effect from ceiling to
floor - they keep watch on the whole of your room

3 YEARS PARTS AND LABOUR GAURANTEE

The whole system comes with a 3 year parts and labour gaurantee, again unique
to Moat Alarms, this covers everything with the exception of malfunction
through acts of god, like a lightning strike or malicious damage

TOTAL PEACE OF MIND

Protected by 3 power sources, you can gain
total peace of mind in the event of a mains power failure. The main control
unit comprises a battery backup, supplying continous cover for 18-24 hours
whilst the mains power is restored. In a worse case scenario where a burgular
finds the main control panel and rips it off the wall in a desperate attempt to
silence it, the 3rd battery supply, sited in the front box outside, will take
over and continue activating the bell box under it's own power.
Using a 24 hour closed circuit wiring system to protect it, the whole alarm is
also tamper proof. This means that any attempt to cut the wires or open up the
bell boxes, control panels or PIRs will activate the alarms tamper circuit and
set the alarm off
A panic button is installed. Usually this would be discreetly tucked away in an
upstairs bedroom, away from young children or can be sited wherever the client
wishes
